The proposals included in the HKEX’s Consultation Paper include: 1. simplifying the listing requirements for companies incorporated outside of Hong Kong and the PRC; and 2. the adoption of key shareholder standards so that all HKEX listed companies provide the same level of shareholder protection irrespective of the company’s place of incorporation and the nature of the listing.
