Julia Charlton to Speak at FCC Hong Kong Club on HKEX Listing Reforms

Charltons is pleased to share that Julia Charlton, Founding Partner of Charltons, will be speaking at the Foreign Correspondents’ Club, Hong Kong (FCC) Club on Tuesday, 26 May 2026. The panel discussion, “From IPO Crown to Listing Reset: Inside HKEX’s Boldest Reform in a Decade,” will explore HKEX’s March 2026 consultation paper and the proposed changes to Hong Kong’s listing framework.

The event will bring together leading voices in Hong Kong’s capital markets to discuss reforms affecting weighted voting rights, listing pathways for overseas issuers, and broader initial listing requirements. Julia will join fellow speakers, including Renu Bhatia, former Chairperson of the HKEX Listing Committee, who brings deep experience in advising international financial institutions and issuers on Asian listings, governance, and cross border transactions. Paul Malam, Head of Listing Policy at HKEX, will offer the regulator’s perspective on the reforms and how they may be implemented. The session will be moderated by Richard Winter, Chairman of Quam Capital (Holdings) Limited and a respected figure in Hong Kong’s capital markets.
